Masked gunmen target grocery store in Germantown

Police are searching for two armed suspects who robbed a grocery store in the city's Germantown section.

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Police are searching for two armed suspects who robbed a grocery store in the city's Germantown section.

It happened on February 13 inside the Devon Grocery Store on the 900 block of East Woodlawn Street.

The suspects were seen walking into the store at 6 p.m. armed with handguns.

One suspect jumped behind the counter while a second pointed a gun at a female customer and forced her to the back of a store along with a second employee.

The pair stole $303 from the registers along with $50 from the customer and a black Galaxy 4 cell phone.

They fled the scene on foot and were last spotted heading east on Woodlawn Street.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 21-25 years-old with a dark complexion, 5'9-5'11 tall and 220 lbs. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt pulled up, a white t-shirt covering his face, blue sweatpants, and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described asa black male, 25-30 years-old with a dark complexion and thin build, 5'10-6'0 tall and 180 lbs. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt pulled up, white t-shirt covering his face, blue jeans, and armed with a handgun.
