SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say an auto repair shop owner turned the tables on a would-be robber in Southwest Philadelphia.
It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 6800 block of Paschall Avenue.
Police say the owner shot a 30-year-old man in the chest, right shoulder and right buttock - once each - as he tried to rob the shop.
The suspected robber was armed when the store owner shot him, police say.
He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by police in critical condition.
A weapon was recovered, police say.
No word yet on any pending charges against the wounded suspect.
