WEST PHILADELPHIA -- Police are searching for the driver whose vehicle struck and injured a bicyclist in West Philadelphia.
The incident happened at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 52nd and Irving streets.
A 46-year-old man was struck and thrown from his bicycle.
Police say he suffered head and other injuries.
Medics rushed the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition.
Police tell Action News there were no witnesses to the crash.
Investigators were checking video from area surveillance cameras for clues.
