Simon Gratz High School principal receives bomb threat text, lockdown lifted

TIOGA (WPVI) -- Simon Gratz High School in the Tioga section of Philadelphia was placed on lockdown for nearly an hour Wednesday after the principal received a bomb threat text message.



Action News is told around 9:30 a.m. the principal received the text about a person with a bomb in the school at 1798 West Hunting Park Avenue.



The principal called police and placed the school on lockdown.



The bomb squad was also notified.



Authorities say at 10:30 a.m. the all clear was given.
