KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A high-speed crash has killed one person, and Philadelphia police want to know if the vehicle involved is connected to an earlier crime.
It happened before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of East Westmoreland Street in Kensington.
Witnesses tell police the car was speeding down Boudinot Street when it crashed into a wall on East Westmoreland.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators tell Action News they are working to determine if the car is connected to a crime that occurred into the 26th Police District a half-hour earlier.
The Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit is working on that case.
