CAMDEN, N.J. -- A reward is being offered and the family of a Camden vendor who was gunned down is hoping it will help them get closure.
45-year-old Jamie Molina had a problem.
"He was sick because he used to use drugs," said Anna Vasquez, cousin.
Speaking through Vasquez, her cousin, Blanca Luz Ramirez says she believes her husband's drug habit may have contributed to the events of October 30, 2013.
"Two friends of his, they came to get him. It was around 1:20 in the afternoon. She told him not to leave, she felt that something was going to happen to him," said Vasquez.
A short time later police were called to the intersection of 5th and Cedar streets in Camden for a shooting.
There they found Molina shot to death.
Detectives say the community is very close and they're hoping that someone will come forward.
"Anybody who has information or even a little bit of information that can help us piece this together and lead us in the direction of finding out who did this to him and his family," said Detective Jeanene Bahr, Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
"She knows that God's gonna do justice," said Vasquez.
The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls will remain anonymous.
