Man found dead inside North Philadelphia home

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a man found inside a dilapidated home.

He was found on the second floor of the building around 1:40 p.m. Friday on the 1800 block of North 26th Street after someone called 911 for a check on his well-being.

First responders initially couldn't get to the man because the house was crumbling.

When medics finally gained access to the building, they found the man and pronounced him dead at 4:37 p.m.

The cause of death has not been determined.
