WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware state officials have launched a new binge drinking prevention campaign.

Governor Jack Markell and his wife joined state leaders to announce the program Thursday morning. It's an extension of the Department of Health and Social Services' current "Underage? Understand. Don't Drink!" campaign.

The new program is aimed at reaching young people between ages 12 and 25. It will feature messaging specifically for minors about underage drinking, and it will target any young adults that could potentially influence them.

The ads will be featured on buses and billboards, as well as in print, online and on social media.

There will also be new messages and information on DHSS' website for addiction prevention, treatment and recovery,
