Man critical after being hit by car in Milford

MILFORD, Del. -- A Delaware man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Milford.

The Delaware State Police say it happened early Saturday on North DuPont Boulevard. Troopers say 60-year-old George F. Henderson of Milford was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by a car.

Troopers say Henderson was not crossing in a designated crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing. They said alcohol may also have been a contributing factor in the crash.
