HARTLY, Del. (WPVI) -- The Delaware State Police have charged a man in connection with sexual assaults on two young sisters.
33-year-old Kevin E. Marrs of Hartly has been charged with five counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Indecent Exposure 1st.
Police say earlier this month an 11-year-old girl reported to her parents that she had been sexually assaulted at her home by Marrs after he babysat her sometime between September and November of 2012 when she was 9.
Authorities conducted an interview with the victim's younger sister who informed investigators that Marrs had also sexually assaulted her while he was babysitting sometime between March and May of 2013. At the time of the second incident, she was 7 years old.
On Friday, Kevin Marrs was taken into custody by members of the Delaware State Police.
Police say Marrs, who is a medium risk Tier 2 sex offender from a 2001 Rape 4th conviction, has no familial relationship to the victims.
He was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $134,000 secured bond.
