DEPTFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Dozens of residents are displaced after a water pipe broke in a Deptford apartment complex.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at the Deptford Park Apartments at 120 Pop Moylan Boulevard.

Officials say the pipe, which connected from the ground floor to the top floor, froze.

Then part of the pipe caps burst when the pipe began to thaw.

Water flowed for about 15 minutes before crews were able to shut it off.

Authorities say 47 residents are displaced from the five story building and are staying at area motels.

Officials say the damage caused could be in the millions and the residents could be displaced for up to three months.
