Atlantic City to host Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve concert

ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- The countdown is on!

If you always wanted to share in the pandemonium of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, but never made it to Times Square, you are in luck.

This New Year's Eve, you can experience all the excitement of ABC's swanky tradition a little closer to home in Atlantic City.

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority tells Action News Boardwalk Hall will host a concert airing on the live broadcast that starts on December 31, 2016 and goes into the early hours of January 1, 2017.

The artist for the Atlantic City concert will be announced at a later date.

The CRDA tells Action News, not only will Atlantic City host a concert this year, but it will also be part of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018 and 2019 editions.

No further details have been released at this time - including how to attend.

Atlantic City is also home to the Miss America broadcast, which like New Year's Rockin' Eve, is produced by dick clark productions.
