PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The FDA has approved a new drug that promises to get rid of double chins without surgery.
The injectable drug, called Kybella, can dissolve fat under the chin.
Doctors say the whole procedure takes about 5 minutes, but it takes two or three days to fully heal.
Side effects include bruising, swelling and temporary numbness.
The injection is not covered by insurance, and the drug's maker has not said how much it will cost.
The treatment is expected to become available in June.
