Police: Driver crashes in Kensington, flees leaving woman trapped

KENSINGTON -- Philadelphia police are looking for the driver who crashed his SUV then ran away, leaving a woman trapped inside the wreckage.

The crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. on the 2600 block of Potter Street.

Police say the driver hit a patch of snow, then hit some pole barriers causing the SUV to flip onto its side.

Rescuers had to cut the 30-year-old passenger from the vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
