Police: Wilmington man arrested for 7th DUI

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police say a Wilmington man has been arrested for his 7th DUI.

Police were called to the First Student Transportation bus company at 750 Stanton-Christiana Road in Newark at 10:10 a.m. Thursday.

There, police say they found 57-year-old John Owens passed out behind the wheel of a Dodge Caliber.

Investigators say Owens drove onto the lot, struck the back of a parked school bus, then drove off the lot, back onto the lot, and then hit a fence before passing out.

Owens was not hurt.

He was charged with his 7th DUI, driving with a suspended license and without proof of insurance.
