DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police arrested a Dover man for driving under the influence for the eighth time.
52-year-old Robert Crain was taken into custody early Thursday morning.
Police say around 1:30 a.m., a trooper spotted Crain driving on Peachtree Run Road.
They say his Ford Expedition had expired temporary registration.
Upon conducting the traffic stop, the trooper detected a strong odor of alcohol and Crain was arrested.
Crain also faces a number of other traffic related offense from the incident.
Police say this is Crain's 8th DUI offense, with prior convictions stemming back to 1996.
