ST. LOUIS -- A woman was crowned the female winner of a marathon in Missouri for all of 20 minutes... until she was busted for cheating.
Kendall Schler, 26, posed for pictures after she crossed the finish line after the GO St. Louis Marathon on Sunday.
However, race officials noticed a few things were odd: her race bib was in the wrong place and the timing tape had been removed.
Still, they briefly gave her benefit of the doubt, because she finished 3rd in the race the year before.
But it wasn't long before they found out she jumped onto the course after the final checkpoint.
Now, investigators say not only did Schler fake this year's race - she faked the 2014 race as well.
