CHESTNUT HILL HOLIDAY PARADE

Chestnut Hill celebrates the holidays with the return of a long-standing tradition. The Chestnut Hill holiday parade steps off at 9 a.m. Families will line Germantown Avenue to see all the musical groups and community groups, and of course Santa Claus. PARADE INFO

HOLIDAY LIGHT EXPRESS

All aboard the Holiday Lights Express! The vintage coach train takes a peaceful, 45-minute ride through Delaware. The ride departs from the Wilmington and Western Railroad several times each night through Dec. 23rd, and again Dec. 26-30. BUY TICKETS ONLINE

THE GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS EVE CONCERT

Get rocking into the holiday spirit with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The rock band will be playing its Christmas hits at two performances on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center. BUY TICKETS ONLINE

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Jewish communities are celebrating the Festival of Lights. One of the many fun Hanukkah events in our area is the Menorah Parade. On Saturday at 7 p.m., Menorah-topped cars will make their way through Center City. JEWISH FEDERATION OF GREATER PHILLY

Cherry Hill will be spreading the light with a Car Menorah Parade on Sunday at 4 p.m. BECOME A PARADE SPONSOR

'COLOR PURPLE' COMES TO PHILLY

The Color Purple takes the stage at the Forrest Theatre. Performances of the 2016 Tony Award winner for Best Musical Revival will be playing through Sunday. BUY TICKETS ONLINE

SIXERS WELCOME THUNDER TO WELLS FARGO

FLYERS LIGHT SHOW

The Flyers will introduce a new, holiday-themed light show prior to the Saturday night home game against the Dallas Stars. The team will distribute light-up bracelets to all fans, that are synchronized with the sounds and sights of video projected on the ice and around the building. The show is set to the music of popular holiday songs, and features reindeer, elves, Santa and of course, animated Flyers players. BUY FLYERS TICKETS

'THE LAST JEDI' IN THEATRES

The Force is here. The new 'Star Wars' movie "The Last Jedi" is hitting theaters. Rebel hero Luke Skywalker has a prominent role. The film also features the final on-screen performance of the late Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. Star Wars is produced by a subsidiary of Disney, which is the parent company of 6abc. STAR WARS
