Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Atlantic County

One person is dead after a hit-and-run crash in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday when the unidentified pedestrian was crossing the Black Horse Pike just west of Fox Place.

Police say one or two vehicles are possibly involved, and they took off after the crash.

Police are working to get a description of the vehicle or vehicles.

Both directions of Black Horse Pike were closed during the investigation.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
