Kenney outlines tax credit for low and moderate income residents

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- As tax season gets underway, local lawmakers want to call attention to the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Mayor Jim Kenney outlined the city's 'You Earned It' campaign Friday at City Hall.

The credit is designed for individuals and families who earn low to moderate incomes.

It could reduce the amount of taxes you owe or provide you with a refund.

The city is offering free tax preparation services at 28 locations.
