Dedicated pier for local fisherman

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Folks who like to fish have their own pier Thursday Night along the Delaware River.

Mayor Michael Nutter dedicated Pier 68 as the first dedicated fishing pier along the Waterfront.

Officials say this location at 1751 south Columbus Boulevard will have fishing access, ecology education classes and picnic areas.

Its also the perfect place to watch holiday fireworks.
