Frankford fire under control

VIDEO: Fire breaks out in Frankford
Nearby homes were evacuated after a fire broke out in Frankford.

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a fire in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.



Crews were called around 6:35 a.m. Sunday to the 4200 block of Romain Street.



When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke pouring from the upper floors of the home.



Neighboring homes were evacuated as a precaution.



The fire was placed under control in about a half hour.



There have been no reports of any injuries.
