Man and woman shot in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- A man and woman were wounded in a double shooting in Philadelphia's Frankford section.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 4600 block of Hedge Street.

The man was shot in the stomach and was taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital in critical condition.

The woman was shot in the leg and taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

The shooter fled the scene.

No word on what led up to the shooting.

Police are investigating.
