Gas leak reported after main struck in Brookhaven, Pa.

BROOKHAVEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police and firefighters were on the scene of a natural gas leak in Brookhaven, Pa.

Word of the leak on Duttons Mill Road near Greenwood Street came before 9 a.m. Monday.

Action News is told a construction crew accidentally struck a gas main.

The crew was not working for PECO at the time, but PECO technicians were on the scene assessing the leak and any potential concern for the surrounding area.

Some nearby homes had to be evacuated.

No injuries were reported.
