Man arrested for heroin possession after police chase, crash

MILFORD, Del. (WPVI) -- A police pursuit and crash ended with a major heroin bust for Delaware State Police in Milford.

25-year-old Ronald Brown of Wilmington is charged with drug possession and several other driving offenses.

Troopers say they tried to pull him over for speeding last night on State Route 1, but Brown took off.

After police slowed down their chase, he slammed into two telephone poles.

A search of the car turned up more than 2,300 bags of heroin and $2,000 cash.

Brown was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was later released.

He is being held on more than $100,000 bond.
