MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. (WPVI) -- High school girls are learning to be leaders of the future, by looking to the past.
Wednesday, members of the Girls Advisory Council, met with U.S. Senator Cory Booker, at the Alice Paul Institute in Mount Laurel.
They discussed Alice Paul's legacy as the first American suffragist, and her successful fight for the women's right to vote.
Students who take part in the Paul Institute's advisory council get to visit important landmarks in womens' history, and learn about issues facing girls, around the world.
