FAA: Laser pointer targets plane approaching LaGuardia

NEW YORK CITY (WPVI) -- FAA officials say someone with a laser pointer targeted a plane approaching LaGuardia Airport Monday night.

An ExpressJet Airlines crew says a green laser illuminated the aircraft flying in from Charlotte.

It happened when the plane was 12 miles northeast of the airport.

The FAA is investigating the incident.

So far, no arrests have been made.
