WASHINGTONVILLE, Pa. -- State troopers say they had to use a rope to corral a man who was driving drunk on his lawn mower with a box of beer.
The Daily Item reports 25-year-old Tyler Anspach also threatened a trooper after he was arrested on July 13 while driving his tractor in Montour County, about 100 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Police received a call that night about an agitated, mower-driving man making threats. Responding troopers said they could smell alcohol on Anspach and saw him stumble.
Authorities say his blood-alcohol content was .21 percent. That's more than twice the legal limit for drivers.
Anspach is charged with DUI, disorderly conduct and related offenses.
Court documents don't list an attorney for him. A phone listing was not immediately available.
