Police in Camden County are searching for a hit-and-run driver who was caught on camera striking a 57-year-old man.

LINDENWOLD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities in Camden County have made an arrest in Saturday's hit-and-run accident, caught on camera, that left a 57-year-old man seriously injured.

Edward J. Russell, 58, of Clayton, was arrested at his home at 1:00 a.m. Monday.

He has been charged with Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident with Serious Bodily Injury. Russell was released with a summons after being charged.

Police say an anonymous tip led them to Russell.

The incident happened at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the 1000 block of South White Horse Pike in Lindenwold, in front of the Lynnebrook Gardens Apartments.

Surveillance video released Sunday afternoon shows a Ford F-150 pickup truck with a silver tool box across the back hitting the victim, slowing down briefly, then leaving the scene.

The 57-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in serious condition with head injuries. His condition was later upgraded to stable.
