Wilbur Ross was one of the first COVID-19 patients in Philadelphia. The 66-year-old man spent 63 days on a ventilator at Abington Hospital and beat all odds recovering from the virus.
When he left the hospital, it was in a wheelchair, and slowly but surely, he's gained the strength to walk again.
Now that he's getting back on his feet, he's delivering a warning to others.
"Be careful, this is not a joke. This is serious," he said. "My feet felt like blocks of ice because it brought on a thing called neuropathy."
Ross sees this as his second chance in life and he hopes his story is a cautionary one.
