Mural to pay tribute to fallen firefighter, Lt. Joyce Craig

LAWNCREST (WPVI) -- A mural is being created to remember and honor fallen Philadelphia firefighter Lieutenant Joyce Craig.

On Saturday community members and first responders helped paint some of the mural's panels.

Craig died while fighting a fire in December of 2014.

She was the first female firefighter ever to die in the line of duty in Philadelphia.

The mural will be located at the Lawncrest Free Library branch when it's completed.
