Archaeologists dig at Malcolm X's boyhood home

ROXBURY, Mass. (WPVI) -- Archaeologists are digging at the boyhood home of black rights activist Malcolm X.

The two-week dig began in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood Tuesday.

Organizers hope to uncover more about Malcolm X's early life.

The former Malcolm Little became a minister and the spokesman for the Nation of Islam in the 1950s and 60s.

He eventually renounced the radical Black Muslim group and was gunned down by its followers in New York City in 1965.
