Malvern Prep employee placed on leave after allegations involving student

MALVERN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials say a female employee at Malvern Prep has been placed on leave because of her alleged inappropriate phone contact with a student.

The alleged incident came to light on May 14th.

At the time school officials quickly placed the employee on administrative leave.

A meeting was held Wednesday night to update parents on the situation - with the help of school administration, law enforcement and child welfare experts.

The exact details of the allegations have not been released.

School officials would only say that the matter is still being investigated and that it's not very likely that the employee would return.

The identity of the employee has not been released as charges have not formally been filed.
