Man killed in Mayfair shooting; suspect in custody

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Police have a suspect in custody after a shooting that left a man dead in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia.

It happened just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 7200 block of Frankford Avenue.

Police say a 34-year-old man was shot in the neck and chest on the highway.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police took a 28-year-old man into custody.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
