Crews battled a house fire in New Castle, Delaware.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A fire in New Castle, Delaware has left two families homeless.

The fire started around 10 a.m. Sunday on the 500 block of West 9th Street.

Officials say the fire quickly spread from the back of one house to a neighboring home.

It took crews about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.

There are no reports of injuries.

A cause is under investigation.
