Sailboat in distress crashes into sand and rocks in North Wildwood

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A sailboat came ashore a North Wildwood beach Sunday evening.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. near the 1st Street Beach.

The sailboat came into distress and ran aground into rocks and sand.

There were 2 people on the boat. Fortunately, both are expected to be okay.

It's not clear on how the boat ended up so close to shore.
