FAIRFIELD TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- New Jersey State Police are investigating a crash in Cumberland County that sent five people to the hospital.
The crash occurred around 2:50 a.m. Sunday on Commerce Street near Waldens Drive in Fairfield Township.
Police say the driver of a car lost control and drove through a New Jersey Transit bus shelter and then slammed into a tree.
There were five people inside the car at the time of the crash.
One person was flown to Cooper University Hospital and a second was flown to Crozer-Chester Medical Center - both in critical condition.
Three others were taken to an area hospital for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
No word what caused the driver to lose control.
