Military headstones used for personal patio

A Missouri man says discarded military headstones which he used for a personal patio have been removed.

The Ozark County man says he found the stones in a landfill nearly a decade ago.

The military had thrown them out because of imperfections that didn't fit their standards.

The man says he meant no harm by taking them.

After an outcry from the public, a veterans group joined police to pick up the stones.

They also held a ceremony to bury them.

People have offered to buy the man a new patio, but he says he just wants to move on from the ordeal.
