East Falls doctor accused of writing prescriptions for cash

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia doctor is under arrest following an undercover investigation.

Dr. Edwin Rothman was allegedly writing drug prescriptions in exchange for cash at his East Falls office.

Pennsylvania State Police searched the building on the 4200 block of Ridge Avenue on Thursday.

They said Rothman had no medical staff, no computers, and barely any medical equipment. An armed security guard was also at the location.

Rothman is now facing a felony charge.
