NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Authorities say six people had to be rescued from the Delaware River after two sailboats capsized Saturday afternoon in New Castle County, Delaware.
The call to officials came around 1:00 p.m. after the two sailboats collided and capsized.
Initial reports indicated the two boats were racing when the collision occurred.
So far, there is no word from authorities on why the boats collided.
The victims all refused any medical treatment and appeared to be okay.
The boats were recovered by the New Castle Sailing Club.
