Bear spotted near Newark, Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Officials in Delaware say a bear has been spotted near the city of Newark.

Both Newark officials and The Delaware Fish and Wildlife Natural Resources Police posted images of the bear on Thursday.

The bear was spotted in the area of White Clay Creek State Park near Newark.

Wildlife experts ask everyone to stay away from the bear and to give it space.

They also ask residents to not follow it or get close enough to take pictures.

Officers were sent to the area to monitor the bear's movements.
