NEWPORT, Del. (WPVI) -- The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office is investigating a fire that heavily damaged a Newport home.
The Minquas Fire Company responded to the unit block of Harding Avenue near West Newport Pike shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of a house on fire.
Firefighters observed the home engulfed in flames as they arrived on the scene.
Damage was estimated at $75,000.
Officials say smoke alarms were activated inside the home.
There were no reported injuries.
State fire investigators are searching for the cause.
