WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- The Delaware National Guard marked its 360th anniversary with a celebration in Wilmington.
"Ready, aim, fire"
The party at Fort Christina included a 21-gun salute, a flyover from C-130 aircraft, and a canon detail.
Governor Jack Markell and Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons sang happy birthday and helped cut the cake.
All of this was to commemorate the formation of The Delaware National Guard on August 31st, 1655 when Delaware was under Swedish rule.
