A SEPTA bus caught on fire with passengers on board in South Philadelphia early Friday morning.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A SEPTA bus caught on fire in South Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The incident happened on a SEPTA Owl service bus around 1:15 a.m. at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue.

The driver was on a layover and was outside the bus when the fire broke out.

Flames charred the back of the bus near the rear engine.

There were no reports of any injuries.

It's unclear on what sparked the blaze.
