Gunman robs Sunoco station in Bala Cynwyd

BALA CYNWYD, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are on the hunt for an armed man who robbed a gas station early Monday in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

It happened at 1:30 a.m. Monday at the Sunoco APlus on City Avenue and Conshohocken State Road in Bala Cynwyd.

Investigators say the suspect brandished a gun, threatened employees and demanded cash.

After collecting an undisclosed amount of money from the register he fled in a vehicle.

Police were checking the store's surveillance video for images of the bandit.
