DURHAM, N.C. (WPVI) -- Firefighters in North Carolina rescued a man who became stranded in a 12-foot sinkhole over the weekend.
He had been stuck in it for hours.
Finally someone heard him screaming for help on Sunday morning and called 911.
The victim is in the hospital with undisclosed injuries and the road in Durham remains closed.
The deep hole is roped off with bright plastic fencing.
It is unclear how the man fell into the sinkhole.
