Man shot dead in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting in South Philadelphia that left a man dead.

It happened around 2:00 p.m. Saturday near South 24th and Oakford streets.

The 44-year-old male victim was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The search for a suspect continues.
