One person is dead after being hit by a train in East Falls.

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a SEPTA train in the East Falls section of Philadelphia.



It happened at 6:30 a.m. Monday on SEPTA's Manayunk/Norristown line near Indian Queen Lane.



Medics say the victim, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.



There was no immediate word on what led to the accident.
