ROANOKE, VA -- Two journalists at a TV station in Roanoke, Virginia, were killed Wednesday morning while live on-air.
They were shot while doing an interview at a shopping center near Moneta, Virginia. The victims were identified as 27-year-old Adam Ward and Reporter Alison Parker had just turned 24.
The apparent shooter has been identified as Vester Flanagan. He was a reporter at WDBJ and went by the name Bryce Williams before he was apparently fired.
A manhunt was underway for the shooter. Police say Flanagan shot himself when confronted by police along I-66.
