UPPER DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police say they have discovered the source of a 'ticking' noise inside a mailbox in Upper Darby.
Superintendent Michael Chitwood told Action News that a discarded security tag - apparently from a piece of store merchandise - caused the noise.
The incident was reported shortly after noon on Wednesday at Chestnut Street and Ashby Road.
The Delaware County Bomb Squad was called to the scene to investigate.
